Fictions Recs: Queer as Folk Fandom
All the fics I love can be now found at my Del.icio.us bookmarks.
They’re organized by tags, and have a link and a short description to help you make your choice :)
Help with the tags and the “families” of tags…
First of all, remember that ALL THE FICS I REC ARE BRIAN/JUSTIN OR GALE/RANDY FICS !
- Tags families:
- Pairing: If you see a tag “Brian/Michael”, it means it’s a fic in which B/M are implied/fucking. But it’s also a fic with a Brian/Justin ending ! :)
- Warnings: I put under this “family” all tags that can be disturbing for some people. For example: rapes, abuses, BD/SM etc…
- Categories:
- Canon : these fics could be perfect scenes/episodes/seasons…
- Could be Canon : Canon!fics… with a twist. For example, events in s1 and s2 are exactly the same, but the fic shows a different s3.
- Alternate Universe : other times/places/jobs and more…
- Crossovers : when QAF melts with other shows/movies…
- RPS : fics about Gale, Randy, Gale and Randy :p
- Tags:
- “Future!fics” are NOT post 513 fics. If you’re searching for a post s5 fic or reunion!fic, then choose the “post s5” tag or the “reunion!fic” tag ;)
- “Extended family” = New brothers/sisters/kids… for Brian and/or Justin
- “Family related” = Brian and Justin have a member of their family in common. For example, Justin could be married/in couple with Brian’s brother… yes, I know, Brian doesn’t have a brother, but fics are unpredictables! Check the “extended family” tag for that ;)
I think all the other tags are quite explicites. If you have any question, feel free to ask it here, by commenting this post.

Btw, I just wanted to tell you I haven’t read your current fic yet. I’m waiting for finished stories when I have too many wips too read…
But if it’s half good as “Ibiza” and “Taking a position/Justin choice”, “Making a scene” will soon be added to this recs ;)
I totally understand about the WIP but I have very little willpower and I’m too impatient. I’m getting better about limiting the WIP that I’m reading because I have to concentrate on my writing.
Well, I’ll let you be the judge of how good Making a Scene is. If you do ever rec it, I would be sure to add the warnings that it is Brian/someone not Justin and that it contains explicit BDSM. That really turns some people off. That being said, there are some people reading it and liking it, so I’m glad about that. I didn’t scare *everyone* away.

Hey, you have to join the community before being able to read this fic :)
Use this link then click on Join this community at the top of the page. A few hours/days later (depends on how busy the moderators are), you should be able to read the fic.
Most of the time, when you have a “You don’t have permission to view this pages”, it’s because you have to join the journal/community before being able to do it ;)

It’s probably because the pages don’t exist anymore. All my recs can be found on my delicious page, with a personal appreciation for all the fics I’ve read (although, all the fics I’ve read haven’t been added yet but I’m doing my best!).
