Say hello to our new gallery! Well, I’m not sure you could point out the changes except for the size and shape of the thumbnails but trust me, there’s a lot of differences (though very few are visible to the visitors) :)

As longtime fans of his work, we weren’t surprised that Gale Harold‘s performance as the villainous Charles Meade in the opening scene of “The Secret Circle” pilot blew us away. When, later on in the episode, he once again had our jaws on the floor, we knew that Harold had finally found the perfect TV role to showcase his considerable talent after a few years of lackluster gigs on shows like “Desperate Housewives” and “Hellcats.”

The Secret Circle features high school students hook-ups and love triangles, yes. But it’s not just about “teen lust,” Thomas Dekker explained at yesterday’s Television Critics Association press panel.

Speaking on his character of Adam and Britt Robertson’s Cassie, the actor told reporters: “Our attraction is linked to our blood and our ancestry, which is part of the history of the show.”

Executive producer Kevin Williamson and the CW might be two for two with the launch of ‘The Secret Circle,’ a bewitching new drama that will air Thursdays alongside ‘The Vampire Diaries’ this fall.

Though both series are based on novels by LJ Smith, the world of the ‘Secret Circle’ witches will not intersect with the established magic in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ — Williamson was fast to dispel any notion of a crossover between his supernatural dramas. “We need to start at ground zero and create our own story and create our own mythology and build from there, so that we can tell just as great a story as ‘The Vampire Diaries’,” he pointed out.

If you look forward to The Vampire Diaries every week, we may have found your second favorite show. The Secret Circle is debuting on the CW this Fall after Diaries, and not only is the witchcraft series also based on books written by the same author (L.J. Smith), it has the same creator in Kevin Williamson. He stopped by TCA today, along with the show’s producers and stars Britt Robertson, Thomas Dekker, Gale Harold, and Natasha Henstridge. The cast and showrunners talked about its parallels (and big differences) to The Vampire Diaries and why there probably won’t be a crossover episode.
